The AMD XA6 series X-ray inspection machine is designed for nuts, flavoured packets, peanuts and other casual small packs. It identifies internal defects such as blank and empty, shrivelled, oily and mouldy nuts, and rejects impurities such as metal, stones, glass, ceramics and rubber.
It can be equipped with deep learning and visible-light technologies to add colour, shape and material sorting for food processing. This is an AMD sorting X-ray, not a Foodman packaged-product inspection tunnel.
